  • Who can enter this inkspire.gallery contest?

This contest is open to students and emerging, non-professional illustrators. Entrants under 18 may participate with signed parental or legal guardian permission.

    Am I a “professional illustrator”?

For the purposes of this contest, a “professional illustrator” is an artist who has had four or more black-and-white story illustrations or two or more color illustrations published in widely distributed books, magazines, or media. Please note: Art featured in personal websites, social platforms, independent zines, etc. do NOT count toward these limits.

    AI Content

Because AI tools have the potential to limit authentic skill development, AI tools may be used only during the idea-generation stage. All final artwork must be created entirely by the artist using their own original drawing, painting, or digital illustration techniques. No AI-generated imagery may appear in the finished submission.
